GANGLION CYST

Ganglion cysts are pockets of joint fluid that result from inflammation of the joint lining.

Ganglion cysts may arise from the palm or dorsum of the wrist and hand. They can also form in the palm and in the fingers. These bumps may rarely be another type of tumor but ganglion cysts are the most common. 

Non-operative treatment options:

Wrist splinting, rest, ice and anti-inflammatories

Removal of fluid and steroid injection
